Veneers Before & After

We have transformed thousands of smiles and improved the confidence of countless patients

Porcelain veneers

Porcelain veneers are made of ultra-thin ceramic porcelain that are placed over your existing, natural tooth enamel and cover the front surface. Veneers correct imperfections in tooth shape, colour, size or alignment which provide the ultimate aesthetic approach for enhancing your smile.

They are a long-lasting, highly durable and stain resistant restorative solution to your cosmetic dentistry concerns

The Porcelain Veneers Process

At our Airport West clinic, we offer a straightforward porcelain veneers process that can give you a beautiful Hollywood smile in just five visits. Our experienced dentists will guide you through the following steps:

The Initial Consultation

During your first visit, one of our friendly dentists will examine your teeth, take x-rays and discuss your goals and expectations to determine if porcelain veneers are the right solution for you.

Gum depigmentation treatment

Your Personalised Treatment Plan

Once you’re ready to proceed, we’ll create a treatment plan tailored to your needs. This will involve selecting the appropriate shade of porcelain to match your natural teeth, deciding on the number of veneers needed, and determining the best placement for them.

Dermal Fillers

Preparing Your Tooth

Before the veneers can be placed, a small amount of enamel will be removed from the front surface of your teeth to make room for them. Local anaesthesia may be used for your comfort upon request.

Smile Makeover Veneers

The First Impression

After preparing your teeth, we’ll take an impression of them to create a mould. This will be sent off to our in-house dental lab, where your custom-made veneers will be created. Meanwhile, you’ll be provided with temporary veneers to protect your teeth.

Veneer Placement

On your final visit, your permanent veneers will be bonded onto your teeth with special dental cement. We’ll make any necessary adjustments to ensure a perfect fit and natural appearance.

Veneers Before & After

What problems can porcelain veneers fix?

Porcelain veneers are a versatile cosmetic treatment that can correct a wide range of dental flaws, including:

  • Chipped teeth
  • Worn-down teeth
  • Stained or yellowed teeth
  • Irregularly shaped teeth
  • Small gaps between teeth
  • Slightly misaligned teeth
  • Minor teeth crowding

Benefits of porcelain veneers

Porcelain veneers look and feel like real teeth. They give you a natural smile because they’re customised to match surrounding teeth and made from translucent medical-grade ceramic material that interacts with light in the same way as tooth enamel.

Advances in technology have made porcelain veneers even thinner, which means only minimal trimming of enamel – a fraction of a millimetre – is necessary to fit them onto your teeth. However, porcelain veneers are incredibly strong and give your teeth an extra layer of protection.

Porcelain veneers also resist staining much better than tooth enamel – they won’t absorb the colours of food and drinks.

Porcelain veneers range in price depending on the complexity of treatment. An exact quote can be established upon a consultation with one of our cosmetic dentists,

Per veneer $1550 – $1895

We also offer smile packages of 6 to 10 veneers. Package details can be obtained by contacting us directly.

Digital Smile Design

Digital Smile Design

After your cosmetic consultation, a 2D digital design of your smile will be created.

Our clinic uses the latest groundbreaking technology bringing together a smile trial preview.

This helps both the patient and dentist quickly visualise their planned new smile by creating a treatment plan tailored to the patient’s requirements and price budget.

Testing out your new smile

You will be able to test out your new smile by proceeding with our 3D mockup options.

A digital oral scan will be taken of your teeth to proceed with a smile mockup of the tooth shade and shape you choose so you can visualise and feel your new smile.

This will give you the opportunity to suggest any alterations or additions you may like before proceeding with the treatment

Patient Stories

We love our patients, and we are happy to hear that they love us just as much!

Katelyn G

Thank you so much for having me in today Dr James! The team was amazing, they made feel sooo comfortable and my teeth are normal super sensitive so honestly a 10/10 experience. Be sure to check them out!!

Matthew S

I have never been a huge fan of going to the dentist but James made me feel incredibly comfortable throughout the whole procedure. It was relaxed and I never felt rushed. I am glad I have found a dentist I can connect with and I'll definitely be coming back for my check-ups.

Chantelle I

So thrilled with my experience with Dr James. He is a perfectionist and made sure I was completely happy with my new veneers. I broke my 2 front teeth when I was 8yrs and no one has ever been able to make them natural until now. They are just perfect and I have so much more confidence. The staff are all so lovely and caring, I honestly couldn’t recommend these guys enough!

Anthony K

Had an amazing experience at this dentistry. The staff were very friendly and Dr James was polite, detailed with explaining what was happening and made me feel very comfortable, regardless of my fear of visiting the dentist. I will definitely be using this place as my local dentist from now on.

Tim W

I have been to quite a few dental clinics in my lifetime and can admit to being fussy at times, however at last I can finally say ive found a clinic that I would be more than happy to go back too. My experience with Dr James B was phenomenal, I was treated with care, respect and professionalism. Ive been to plenty of dentists before and its simply been a chore for both me and them (I wont name names), giving no real reason to go back to the same dentist. Dr James has been the first dentist to show an interest in me as a patient and as a person, taking me through every step of the plan and procedure I had to undergo.

My son is a little anxious boy and was really scared to go to the dentist. Dr T was amazing with him and took special care to keep him comfortable. I would highly recommend Dr T to anyone who is nervous about seeing a dentist. The best experience.

Aneta R

What an experience. Met Dr Philip Hand to see my child, what an amazing person, been through so many doctors that would just be like you had a bad luck, for the condition of your child, nobody cares. Without even explaining of my daughter condition, he offered his help and handful of best contacts in Melbourne to help me and my girl. He is not only the best dentist he has the hands to help others. Thank you God for meeting a Doctor like Philip Hand, my self Aneta and Aurora will be forever grateful

Amazing cosmetic dental practice, couldn't ask for more! Dream smile and lips achieved

Anthony J

The team at Marriot and Hand were simply amazing. Dr Hand was very knowledgeable and explained everything about the treatments and why it was necessary. Karen was warm and open to all sorts of questions. I never felt rushed. As someone that has not been to a dentist for many years, it was time to face the music - I found them extraordinary professional and caring. Their service was so good I felt like I was catching up for a coffee with a friend rather than a visit to a dentist office. I'll look forward to my next appointment

Nushan Z

Fantastic Staff! Experienced Hygienist and Dentist. Great location with private carparking.

Jass F

After my MCHN suspected the cause of my son's breastfeeding issues was a tongue and upper lip tie, I went to see Dr. Philip Hand. He was one of the more reasonably priced dentists for this procedure. He was very friendly and put me at ease right away. He took the time to examine my son thoroughly and had a great manner with him. He obviously does his job properly and is not just out to get money, as he told me that neither tie was significant enough to warrant cutting. He noticed tightness around his facial muscles, though, and referred me to an oesteopath who has managed to solve the issue. This dentist knows his stuff, is friendly, and if it hadn't been for him, my son would not be feeding properly. Highly recommend him.

There are two main types of porcelain veneers. These are:

    1. Traditional veneers: These are made from porcelain and are custom-designed to fit your teeth. They are typically thicker than other types of veneers, which means that more of your natural tooth structure will need to be removed in order to accommodate them.
    2. No-prep veneers: These are a newer type of veneer that are designed to be ultra-thin, meaning that they require little to no removal of your natural tooth structure. They are typically made from materials like composite resin or ceramic, and can be a good option for people who are looking for a minimally-invasive way to improve the appearance of their teeth.

Both types of veneers can be a great way to improve the look of your smile, but which one is right for you will depend on a variety of factors, including the condition of your teeth, your budget, and your personal preferences.

At Aesthetic Laser Dentistry, we offer both composite and porcelain veneers to Airport West locals and surrounding communities. It’s important to talk to your dentist about your options so that you can make an informed decision.

Thinking about getting porcelain veneers? You’ll be pleased to know the procedure offers several benefits, such as:

    1. Improved appearance: Porcelain veneers can enhance the colour, shape, and overall appearance of your teeth, giving you a brighter and more attractive smile.
    2. Durable: Porcelain veneers are made of a strong and durable material that can last for many years with proper care.
    3. Stain-resistant: Unlike natural teeth, porcelain veneers are highly resistant to staining from food and drinks such as coffee, tea, and red wine.
    4. Customisable: Each porcelain veneer is custom-made to match the size, shape, and colour of your existing teeth, ensuring a natural and seamless look.
    5. Minimal tooth reduction: The process of preparing your teeth for porcelain veneers typically requires minimal reduction of tooth enamel, making it a less invasive option than other dental procedures.

Improved confidence: With a brighter and more attractive smile, porcelain veneers can help boost your self-confidence and overall quality of life.

Porcelain veneers are known for their durability and longevity. With proper care, porcelain veneers can last up to 10-15 years or even longer. The lifespan of veneers can vary depending on several factors, including the individual’s oral hygiene habits, and lifestyle factors such as diet and smoking. Regular dental check-ups and cleanings can also help prolong the life of your porcelain veneers. In some cases, veneers may need to be replaced due to natural wear and tear or accidental damage.

Yes, porcelain veneers can be removed, but it is important to understand that the process of removing veneers is irreversible. The procedure involves grinding down the outer layer of the veneer and carefully separating it from the tooth. This can potentially damage the underlying tooth structure, which may require additional dental treatment. Additionally, after removing the veneers, the tooth may appear discoloured or have an uneven surface.

If you have porcelain veneers but are considering whether to remove them, speak to our friendly dentists for personalised advice.

Can you put a price on confidence? The cost of porcelain veneers in Australia can vary depending on a number of factors, including the number of teeth being treated and the complexity of the case. On average, the cost of a single porcelain veneer can range from $1600 to $2,300. This means that a full set of veneers can cost anywhere from $16000 to $23,000. Bear in mind that these are only rough estimates, and the cost of porcelain veneers can vary significantly based on individual circumstances.

Porcelain and composite veneers are both popular cosmetic dentistry options that can enhance the appearance of your teeth. However, there are some differences between them. While they are both thin, custom-made shells that are placed on the front surface of your teeth, porcelain veneers are typically more expensive than composite veneers because they are known for their longevity and resistance to stains. Composite veneers can be completed in a single visit, but they are less durable and may need to be replaced more often.

To maintain your porcelain veneers and ensure they last for many years, it’s important to follow a few simple guidelines. Just like natural teeth, you will need to brush and floss regularly to keep them free of plaque and tartar.

It’s also important to avoid hard foods, such as ice, hard candy, and some nuts. While porcelain veneers are strong, they can still chip or crack if subjected to excessive force.

Of course, visit your dentist regularly to maintain your oral health and ensure your veneers are in good condition. Your dentist can spot any issues early and recommend treatment to prevent further damage.

The number of teeth that need veneers depends on your individual dental needs and goals. During your initial consultation with any of our friendly dentists, we will examine your teeth and discuss the areas of concern with you. Based on the condition of your teeth, our dentist will recommend the number of veneers required to achieve the desired results. It’s important to note that veneers are usually applied to the front teeth, which are visible when you smile. Ultimately, the decision on how many teeth to veneer is up to you, in consultation with your dentist.

Porcelain veneers are highly resistant to stains, which is one of the many benefits of this cosmetic dental treatment. However, while the veneers themselves won’t stain, the natural teeth surrounding them can still be susceptible to staining from food, drinks, and tobacco. To keep your porcelain veneers looking their best, it’s important to maintain good oral hygiene practices and avoid consuming excessive amounts of staining substances such as coffee and tea. Regular visits to your dentist for cleanings and check-ups can also help ensure the longevity of your veneers.

It is normal to experience some sensitivity and discomfort immediately after the porcelain veneer treatment, but this typically subsides within a few days. Pain is rare, but if you experience any persistent discomfort or sharp pain, you should contact your dentist immediately.
